Junior Football Championship
Bray Emmets 1-6 Kiltegan 0-8
Bray Emmets got their junior championship underway against Kiltegan in Arklow on Friday night last. Bray started the brighter however only managed 1 point in the first 15 minutes. Kiltegan took the reins for the remainder of the half but equally found it hard to take advantage on the score board. However a goal from Donnacha O Midheach against the run of play put bray ahead at half time.
The second half was as tight as the first with both teams trading point for point. Bray rang the changes with each substitute having their own positive impact as the half ran on. None more so than Ronan Cunningham hitting the winner 3 mins from fulltime. Bray finished stronger holding out to win 1.6 to 8.

Bray now play Enniskerry next in the championship on the 20th July in Greystones.

Ladies Football
Bray Emmets  3-8, AGB  1-3

Bray Emmets ladies faced AGB for a very tough game in the league this week. Bray got out ahead in the first half with a beautiful pass from Amy Barry to Niamh Coleman (2-3) for a goal early on. AGB always came back hard, but Danika Goulding made some wonderful blocks and Claire Fawley managed to keep them goalless at half time with a number of fantastic saves. Bray Emmets pulled away in the second half with a fabulous chest pass from Seona Michel to Mikeala Shelly (0-1) for a great point from the 40meter line. AGB continued fighting but Shaunna Douglas and Grace O’Donovan remained strong. Aoife Sherlock (0-1) made a huge impact up front and bray continued pulling away. Racheal Cunningham’s continuous interceptions were too much for AGB and with Grace’s free blocked down  it was game over, ending 3-8 to 1-3

Recycling drive
We want to thank everyone for their contribution and help that made the Recycling Day a great success.  Well done to Paul Sweeney and all his team.

Sports Grant
Bray Emmets GAA Club are delighted to announce that we are to receive a capital grant from the Department of Transport Tourism and Sport for €100,000. This money is ring fenced for the further development of our grounds. The money is not allowed to be used for the day to day running of the club. We will advise all members as to the proposed works in the near future. At present we are installing Dug Outs on the first pitch and the management of Bray Emmets will continue to ensure the best club facilities are in place.

Road Works
Road Works have started at Old Conna Avenue and there is a road closure order in place.  This will not interfere with Pairc Emmet Bhré other than you cannot continue up Old Conna Avenue from the Club Grounds.  Normal traffic is maintained to the Dublin Road.
