TINAHELY WALKING CLUBThere is no local walk on Sunday August 10 as the group will be in Mayo climbing Croagh Patrick. Then on August 17 there is a change to the scheduled walk. We will be linking up with the annual Fr Willy Walsh sponsored walk, probably from Glenmalure to Fenton’s pub in Glen of Imaal. More details later. Meanwhile the club is continuing with summertime evening walks, meeting in Tinahely square at 7pm. Please ensure to wear proper walking boots, to bring adequate food & drink and to pack (or wear) rain gear. Full walking schedule is on the Tinahely Website.
FIRST RESPONDERS
Congratulations to Carnew First Responders who received the Heart Save Village Award from Bridget Sinnott of the Irish Heart Foundation on Tuesday night last in Colasite Bhride. This is a great achievemnet for the group and many thanks to all involved who helped us win this award, to all who came on the night, many thanks.
The next training weekend for new members will be 11th and 12th October and if anyone would like to train to join the group please contact us.
