Gardai seek public help in finding Australian tourist

Gardai are asking for the public’s help in finding an 85-year-old Australian tourist who has gone missing in Ireland.
William Tyquin was last seen in Athlone on Tuesday, July 8. He travelled to Ireland on Friday, July 4 for a holiday.

He is believed to have hired a black Hyundai ix20 12-D-22135 with the intention of travelling around the country.

William is described as being 5’ 6”, with grey hair. When last seen he was wearing cream coloured trousers, a grey t-shirt and sandals.

Gardaí and family are very concerned for William and are appealing for anyone who may have seen him to contact them at Athlone Garda station at 090 6498550, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
