By: William O’ Toole

Wicklow man David Dickenson gained much-needed points after a double podium finish in rounds seven and eight of the  Michelin Clio Cup Race Series at Brands Hatch over the weekend.

On Sunday, he lined up on the front row of the grid. He put serious pressure on championship leader Robinson but overtaking opportunities proved to be at a premium and Dickenson had to settle for second place, with just 1.1 seconds separating the pair when they took the took the chequered flag.

The next rounds of the championship takes place at Snetterton on the 30th/31st August.
