Bright future for 121digital

Good news for 121digital  – a programme in which transition year students volunteer to tutor local adults in the use of their digital devices (laptop, tablet, e-reader, mobile phone, etc.) – from this autumn the government (DCENR) will provide a basic level of funding to support the initiative.

“This is fabulous news”, says founder, Ashford man Fintan Mulligan, “as our efforts (mine and 30 volunteers who run the programme in 16 secondary schools) were at risk as the whole programme was loss making since commencement in 2010 and therefore unsustainable….. Now,  the future is bright.

Lessons recommence next month (September) – Book now or put your name on our waiting list.

121digital  is open to Schools / Mentors / TY students / Learners – contact us at our website.
