It is understood that receivers moved in yesterday and informed workers that production was to be stopped at the plants from today, Friday.
Production was stopped at the companies plants in Rathdrum and Carlow.
It is also understood that some of the owners are meeting with the receivers in the High Court today, to see if another solution can be found to re-open the plants
The future of the company has been in doubt since June when receivers initially moved in.
However, a deal was struck and a temporary examiner was appointed for 90 days.
The quarrying and concrete plant has been operating in Carlow since the 1930s.
