Gardai investigate shooting of man in Bray

Gardai are investigating the shooting of a man in Bray this evening.

The incident took place on the riverside of the People’s park at around 5.30pm.

A man in his mid-20s has been taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in Dublin.

He received injuries to his lower body, but they are not believed to be life threatening.

Cathaoirleach of Bray municipal council John Brady condemned the shooting and urged anyone who witnessed the incident to contact the Gardai, Brady told Wicklownews.net “The park was full of youngsters and parents at the time, the people who carried out this action have absolutely no consideration for anyone.”
