Peter O’ Hanlon, A founding member of the Ashford TidyTowns Committee, was awarded with a hero award at the Helix on Monday.
Peter has been involved in the upkeep of Ashford village for the past ten years and he has also been a vital member of the committee since 2010.
He has also been instrumental in encouraging the wider community to get involved in the up keep of the village through his energy, positivity and drive.
Speaking at the ceremony, Michael Morgan, Sales Director of SuperValue, who have been the main sponsor of the competition for the past 25 years said:
“At SuperValue we believe in supporting communities and nothing captures that belief more than the SuperValue TidyTowns Hero competition.”
