It looks like umbrellas and wellies could be the order of the day as Met Eireann has predicted rainfall of between 25 and 40mm for Wicklow in the next 24 hours.
The status yellow weather warning will also be accompanied by heavy winds, with torrential downpours and spot flooding also likely.
The band of weather is expected to move southeastwards across the country this morning and afternoon.
Meanwhile, Wicklow Weather has warned that the heaviest of the rainfall is likely to occur during rush hour.
They have also highlighted the potential of flash floods due to the soil being so dry across the eastern half of the country.
Another band of wet and windy weather is also expected to sweep across the country Sunday night and Monday.
