A vintage ploughing match will be held on this Sunday 16th November in Matt Doyles, Craanford at 12 noon, all welcome.

The annual November fair will be held on this Friday 14th November at 7pm in Carnew Community Care with all the usual stalls and raffles, all welcome.

The annual Tomacork cabaret will take place on this Friday 14th November at 9pm in the usual venue with music by Michael and Martina, all welcome.

The GAA lotto was not won numbers were 3,11,23,28, lucky dips were Sue Balfe, Kilcavan. Betty Cummiskey. Kathrine Kavanagh, c/o Candy’s. Molly Gregan, Coolboy. Next draw was 10th November in Sinnotts jackpot was €7,000, tickets only €2 from any player or local shop.

Congratulations to Thomas Collins, Kilcavan and Deirdre O’Neill, Bunclody on their recent engagement.

On Sunday Nov 16 the walk is the Sean Linehan route (Aughrim)(grade B, 12km/3 hours approx), meeting in Tinahely Square at 10.30am. On Sunday Nov 23 the walk is in Askinagap (grade B, 11km/3 hours approx), meeting in Tinahely Square at 11.00am. Please ensure to wear proper walking boots, to bring adequate food & drink and to pack (or wear) rain gear. Full walking schedule is on the Tinahely Website. We are holding our next committee meeting shortly so watch this space for details of more walks for November and December.

Best of luck to all couples involved in the Strictly Come Dancing the semi finals on this Saturday 15th in The Ashdown Park Hotel Gorey at 8pm tickets are selling fast from all couples. The finals will be held between Carnew and Kilrush on 22nd November in The Ambersprings Hotel.

A flower arranging demonstration with Paula, Betty and Frances will be held at Carnew Day Centre on Wednesday 19th November at 7.30pm, admission €7 with refreshments, door prize and raffle of flower arrangements on the night. Proceeds to St Vincent De Paul and Carnew Day Centre.

Askamore hall AGM will be held on this Thursday 13th November at 8pm, all welcome.

The 45 card games continue on Monday nights in Askamore hall, all welcome.

The winner of the Pride in Carnew lotto was Miriam Osborne seller Mary Hall.

Congratulations to our minors who won their final against Glenealy on Saturday, well done to all. To the u14’s who won against Bray Emmetts in extra time congratulations and well done to all involved.
Best of luck to the 16’s in their final on Saturday in Arklow at 12.30pm against Ml Dwyers.

Join us for a special evening of music and song in St. Kevin’s Church Kilaveney, Tinahely on Friday 28th November – 8p.m. Performing artists will be newly formed singing group ‘Celtic Trinity’ – Denise Brennan, Avril O’Toole and Karen McGillycuddy, with very special guest Liam Lawton. Also featuring Denise Brennan’s ‘Voiceworks Childrens Choir’ and Lambert Sisters Harpists. Proceeds shared by St. Kevin’s Church and A Partnership with Africa.
