Christmas Fair
The Aughrim Christmas Fair will take place in on Sunday 7th December 2014 in Lawless’s Hotel in Aughrim from 11am to 5pm. The Fair is organized by the Aughrim Business Association and will host a variety of local Arts and Crafts, Foodstalls and Small Businesses from Aughrim and surrounding areas to show their expertise at your doorstep. Of course Santa is visiting us in the afternoon at 2.30 with free small gifts for the children.

There are free activities for children: a treasure hunt, drawing and colouring. Following the success of last year the traditional music group Anne Devlin CCE will perform during the afternoon. The hotel is catering for lunches and a nice cup of coffee or tea, no need to get hungry or thirsty! The Stonecutter will have a stall and sell their lovely cakes, jams and breads. Inspiration for presents is available at stalls with paintings, fairy doors, Christmas flower arrangements, handmade soaps, beeswax candles, pottery, woodturning, honey, plants, flowers and more.
There will be a photo exhibition in the lobby of the hotel with pictures of highlights in Aughrim in 2014. The new calendar of Aughrim is available at the Fair too. Support your local businesses and visit our Fair, we look forward to see you! For information please contact Christien Van Bussel, tel; 086 85 97 267, Email:

Thank You
St. Kevin’s Church, Kilaveney, Tinahely was the setting for an unforgettable evening of music and song on Friday 28th November last. Performing on the night were ‘Celtic Trinity with special guest Liam Lawton. Also featured were Denise Brennan’s Voiceworks choir and Lambert Harpists Miriam, Bernadette, Brid and Roisin.

All the performers delivered their range of repertoire marvelously and were a delight to listen to. Proceeds from this event will be shared by St. Kevin’s Church and APA – A Partnership with Africa.

Sincere thanks to all the performers for giving so generously of their commitment and time to this fundraising concert. Thanks also to the supporters, sponsors, attendees, ticket sellers, committee members, volunteers and everyone who contributed and helped in any way to make this event such a wonderful success. It was a very special and memorable evening.
