Larry wants to come home

According to the Sunday World newspaper rapist Larry Murphy has told Gardai he wants to come home.

The article by Neil Donald states Murphy made contact with the Garda national bureau of criminal investigation last month, saying he wished to return to Ireland on a permanent basis.

He told Gardai forced to move on three separate occasions after being recognised by people living in the areas.

The article also states Murphy has been in touch with the Garda sex offenders management and intelligent unit to look for help to arrange a return to Ireland.

Under Irish law, the convicted rapist who has been named in the disappearance of several other woman does not have to inform the Gardai of his movements.

It also said Murphy was “Sick” of living abroad and wised to return home without causing hysteria.

It is understood a senior source told the Sunday World, Murphy was willing to cooperate with the Gardai and keep them informed of his whereabouts.

But ultimately it is not up to the Gardai whether he comes home or not, he is a free man and can do as he pleases.
