The Court of Criminal appeal have refused to reduced the sentence of a former teacher who was sentenced to 4 years in prison earlier this year.
Michael Byrne (76), from Templerainey in Arklow was appealing against the severity of his sentence.
Byrne was convicted in September 2013 for abuse dating back to the 1970s.
