The body of a man in his 60’s has been recovered from the harbour in Courtown.
It is understood the car which the man was driving entered the water just before 2pm on Thursday.
Emergency services attended the scene and recovered the man shortly after going into the water.
No one else was injured in the incident.
A garda spokesperson said the incident is being treated as a personal tragedy.
