It’s hard to believe it’s that time of the year again but in three short weeks Operation Transformation Wicklow Town (OTWT) hits the streets once more. Bigger and better than ever before the plan is to make as many people in Wicklow, Rathnew & further afield healthier, lighter & happier!
OTWT is brought to you ‘free of charge’ by Wicklow Chamber of Commerce & Wicklow Local Sports Partnership starting on Monday the 5th of January at 7.00pm in the Assembly Hall located on Bachelors Walk in Wicklow Town. The first night includes registration, initial weigh in, followed by a Group Walk where the team will be split into varying levels of ability.
A number of changes have made including an additional night which is weather proofed and indoors, each Thursday OTWT will be joined by experts in the area of ‘wellbeing’ who will give advice on topics such as nutrition, diet, cooking, stretching, cross training and more.
The group will also take advantage of Wicklow’s fabulous outdoor gym where local fitness instructors from CrossFit Wicklow will put the group through its paces and as in previous years we will continue our Saturday morning group walk / jog / run.
New for 2015 see’s the introduction of ‘free’ Cross Training classes courtesy of CrossFit Wicklow and all of this coupled with a Wicklow Local Sports Partnership 5k walk on Saturday 17th January along with a Grand Finale 5k Family Walk / Run on Saturday 21st February.
2015 also brings two wonderful Team Leaders, Glenda Conyard from Rathnew and Josh McKenna from Wicklow Town both of whom are well known and popular within the local community.
To join in the fun all you have to do is register your interest on the Operation Transformation Wicklow Town Facebook, alternatively email Mick Nolan, firstname.lastname@example.org or contact him on 086 8153118.
