Community Games
February and its Springtime. Athletics training every Monday night at 7pm and now hopefully getting longer days and maybe milder too. The schools will be approached with list of events that we would hope children might take part in and notes sent home too regarding other events that take place in Community Games.
We would hope to add some new events such as Chess and Draughts but to do this we would need somebody with knowledge and to help coordinate the event. It would be great for our not so sporty children to give them other options too. For further information about events available please check out the HSE Community Games website. There will be a Whist Drive in The Pariocal Hall , Tinahely on Thursday February 12th starting at 8-30 pm

45 card game on next Friday night, \february 6 , in Annacurra Community Centre, starting at 8-30pm.
Library
Opening times for Aughrim Library are as follows; Tuesday 3-5 Wednesday 3-5 and 6-30 until 8-30 Friday 11 -1 and 3-5 Saturday 2-4. Internet and photocopying available. Membership free.
Pilgrimage
The 47th Lourdes pilgrimage will take place from May 17 to May 22. The pilgrimage will be led by Most Rev. Denis Brennan,D.D. All bookings and payments to O’Learys Travel Agents Ltd.

BadmintonCongratulations goes to the juveniles of Annacurra Badminton Club who recently competed in a tournament in Roundwood. The standard was very high and our boys and girls did us proud winning several matches and trophies!A special thanks goes to their coach, Andrew Doyle for organising it and working all day as an umpire. We are encouraged to enter more competitions.New memebers welcome on Fridays 8 to 9.30 pm at Aughrim Sports Complex.
