Baby it’s cold outside

This morning turned out to one of the coldest so far this year.

As predicted by Wicklow Weather at the week-end it is to be the coldest week since the winter of 2010.

There have been flurries of snow throughout the northern half of the county today but not enough to stay on the ground.

The AA and Mountain rescue are urging motorists to keep away from the Sally Gap and Wicklow Gap while Augavannagh and Drumgoff should be approched with caution.

A number of minor incidents have been reported throughout the county this morning due to black ice.
