A 61 year-old woman has died following a crash between a van and a car on the Tullow to Shillelagh road on Friday evening.
The accident happened near Knockloe bridge just after 6pm.
Both male drivers were taken to Kilkenny hospital.
The road was closed to allow a garda forensic examination but has since re-opened.
