Bray’s Fergal Devitt created a big impression in the WWE last night when he became the no.1 contender for the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver.
Devitt, now known by the ring name Finn Bálor, defeated Adrian Neville in impressive fashion to earn the right to fight for the NXT championship.

The Bray man joined the WWE last July and began with NXT, WWE’s development territory which allows superstars gain experience before they join the main roster.
He was renamed Finn Bálor after Irish mythological figures Fionn mac Cumhaill and Balor and since then the Bray man has been highly touted by the company.
Superstars like Edge and Triple H took to Twitter last night to congratulate Bálor and legendary manager Paul Heyman declaring ” Been a fan of @wwebalor for years. I’m an even bigger fan of his after @WWENXT #NXTRival #NXTTakeOver tonight. WOW!”
WWE fans were also impressed with his performance and he looks sure to have a big future at the company.
