Wicklow County Council has refused planning permission for the ABO Ballymanus Wind Farm Development.
Councillor Pat Kennedy said “This is a very positive result and Wicklow County Council have acknowledged the fact that the majority of people in the area did not want this development.
This industrial sized wind farm would have spoiled the rural landscape in this part of South Wicklow. The decision is to be welcomed. Thanks to all those who made submissions on this application.”
438 submissions were made in relation to the project.
