Craanford 4 goals, Carnew 3 goals
Carnew put up a good display against old rivals Craanford in the Castletown Tournament on Friday 6th March. They were just about getting on top when the final whistle sounded. It was an entertaining game of hurling that saw Billy Molloy pull off some Noel Skeehan type saves that kept Carnew in the hunt for victory. He was aided by sterling performances from Dan Redmond and Maurice Sheil at full back. Thomas Collins at mid field and Shane Byrne in the forwards gave a good account of themselves. Dan Murphy also got on the score sheet. Carnew are looking forward to the season ahead out on the grass sod where they can mix it up with the best of them.
