Towards the end of 2014, Fr. Binoy Mathew SVD, a priest in the parish of Arklow, along with a team of volunteers from the Parish visited 18 primary Schools and 11 Secondary schools from Castletown to Ashford with details about a new faith initiative entitled ‘The Creative Spirit’.
The aim of this was to get students engaged with the Bible by running a series of Art, Poetry, Short Story, Photo and Film competitions open to all students and divided into sections and categories according to age with prizes awarded for each category.
On Saturday March 7th during 6.30 pm mass celebrated by Fr. Pat Byrne, Provincial, Divine Word Missionaries, Irish -British Province we welcomed all the Prizewinners and their families as they were presented with their prizes . Congratulations to all the winners.
