Aughrim Juvenile GAA
U14 hurling – the new amalgamation with Tinahely for U14 hurling has got off to a very good start. Having done a few weeks of indoor hurling together and playing a number of practice matches the team played in the hurling Feile last weekend. The team, playing under the name of Luke O’ Tooles played very well to overcome Avondale, Bray Emmets and The Arklow Rocks to progress to the Feile Semi-finals. With a current panel of 22 players, it is encouraging to see a big effort being put in by both clubs and players and it will be interesting to see how the team gets on during the year. Luke O Toole’s take on Michael Dwyers in the semi-final, with a date and time to be fixed. U 6, U8, U 10 and U12 GAA training for football and hurling is back on Tuesday nights from 6.30 to 8.00 and all kids are very welcome to attend. Membership forms will be available on the night. We are still looking for some volunteers to help out, so if you can give up some of your time, just let one of the coaches know. We wish all teams and management every success throughout the year.
