The April meeting of the flower club takes place on Wednesday April 8th 2015 in the Jonathan Swift Hall at 8pm.This is a gala fundraiser for Baltinglass Daycare Unit and is a demonstration by Suzanne Cray. Your support for this event will be welcome.

The Tom Crean story of the Antartica takes place in Rathsallagh House on Monday April 27th at 7pm. The night includes dinner and the show for €65.
Golf Society Results
The Dunlavin Inn Golf Society results from last weeks outing to Tulfarris were 1st David Corrigan, 2nd Andrew Dunne. Front 9: Johnny Willis, B 9 :Peter O’ Connor. Next outing Saturday April 25th to Athy. New Members welcome.
Sympathy is extended to the family of Maura Guing who died last week. Maura is mourned by her husband Paddy, son Tony, daughter-in-law Deirdre , grand children Aoife, Evin and Nessa, great grandchildren Rory and Cillian, brother Pete Browne(Uppertown) and sister Margaret (Ballymore Eustace). Maura’s funeral took place in Dunlavin . May Maura Rest in Peace.
Help – Votes needed!
Solas is a Unit for Autism based in Dunlavin, Co. Wicklow. We cater for 12 children aged between 5 and 11 years. At present we receive no funding to provide Speech and language therapy or Occupational Therapy for our children.
Version 1, which is an I.T. company, based in Dublin is running a facebook competition through their corporate social responsibility trust. Solas has the chance of being awarded €5000…. But we need your vote!

Donard /Glen will hold a rideout/5k walk on Sunday April 12th commencing at Fentons, Glen of Imaal at 1pm. This is a fundraiser for St Nicholas Juvenile GAA club. Cap for ride out is Adults €20, Children €10, walk Adults €5 Children €3. Refreshments will be served in Fentons Bar after the event.

Spring/Summer Fashion Show
A fashion show in aid of St. Kevin’s Community College will take place on Wednesday March 25th 2014 in Rathsallagh House. Tickets are €10 and support would be appreciated.
Badminton for fun takes place every Thursday night in the Imaal Hall at 8.30pm. All welcome.
A Unislim class has commenced in the parish centre Dunlavin on Tuesday mornings 11am to 12 noon. A great opportunity to shed those unwanted pounds before Christmas.
Parent and Toddler Group
Dunlavin Community Playschool’s Parent & Toddler group meet every Wednesday from 10am-12noon in the Jonathan Swift Hall behind the playschool. Cost is €3 per adult. More details contact 045/406866.
They meet every Tuesday from 10am-2pm and Thursday nights 7.30pm to 9.30pm. in Murtagh’s. If anyone has tools or timber that they could donate to the shed it would be greatly appreciated. All welcome.
The friendship club takes every Friday at 3pm in the parish centre. New members welcome.
Anyone wishing to join walking group meet at Imaal Hall on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 9.30am.

Coming into the winter evenings people are asked to check in on elderly neighbours.
Community text alert has been launched in the Dunlavin area. Residents can sign up for €10. Forms are in Ed’s Veg shop. People are urged to be vigilant at all times and contact the Gardai if the spot anything suspicious in the area.
Why not drop into the newly refurbished library in the Market House. Great selection of new books especially for children. Membership is free, free WI-Fi and internet access. The daily and local newspapers are available to read. Opening hours Tuesday 6.30pm-8.30pm, Wednesday 3pm-5pm, 6.30pm-8.30pm.Friday 10.30am-1pm and 3pm-5pm. Saturday 11am-1pm. Bingo takes place in the Imaal Hall every Saturday night at 9pm. Jackpot waiting to be won now stands at €2000. The funds raised by the Bingo goes towards the upkeep of the Imaal Hall and well worth supporting.
