Met Éireann has issued a status yellow weather warning for Wicklow tonight with thunderstorms and snow showers possible.
The national forecaster has said that the current wintry spell could last into tomorrow afternoon although significant snow falls are unlikely as the showers will be fractured in nature.
Wicklow Weather have also issued a weather warning with the Aughrim based forecaster saying that ‘Snow accumulations will be more widespread tonight and tomorrow with the risk of moderate accumulations in Connacht, inland Munster, Ulster and areas of Leinster.’
