Congratulations to John Keenan who has been placed on the Hurling Championship Referees Panel 2015. John follows in the footsteps of a fellow Aughrim clubman Eamon Moules and maybe like Eamon, John will get to referee an All Ireland Final. Well done to our Feile hurlers (Luke O’Tooles) who have reached the final of the County Feile. Last Friday night they defeated a very strong Michael Dwyers team. The final is provisionally fixed for next Friday night in Ballinakill against Carnew. Our first outing in the Senior Football was a bit of a reality check for a lot of our players. We did not perform well on the day and were well beaten. Our next outing in the league is away to An Tochar.
Items to be included in the Aughrim notes should be emailed to email@example.com before 8 p.m. on Sundays. Do not send attachments.
