Carnew notes April 20

Under 12s Boys Hurling

Carnew 5-7 Arklow Rocks 1-1
Carnew had a great victory over old rivals Arklow Rocks in Arklow on Thursday 16th. Carnew got off to a great start with some great scores form Tadgh Kelly, Cathal Rooney and Dan Redmond. Billy Molloy came out of goals to play full forward and it was during this spell that Carnew got on top. Molly bagged 3 goals and a few points. Thomas Collins gave a good display at centre back as well as getting on the score sheet. Good defensive work from Maurice Sheil and Shane Byrne in the backline kept a good supply of balls to the forwards. Richard Greene was going well until an injury forced him off. Jack Rosney, Dan Murphy, Callum Patterson, Will Molloy, Shay Guilfoyle, the Kenny twins and Jack Keogh all did their bit to secure this win for Carnew Emmets.
