Man arrested following robbery in Arklow

Gardai have arrested a man following a robbery at a bookmakers in the town on Wednesday afternoon.

The man entered Tully’s bookmakers on Lower Main Street and threatened a female member of staff with a knife before leaving with an amount of cash.

He was arrested last night following a review of CCTV taken from the area and is now being detained at Wicklow Gardai station.
