Camogie
The camogie season has begun with the u8/u10 girls hosting their first blitz of the year. The teams that attended were carnew and knockanna, well done to all the girls as Annacurra was triumphant on the day! Thanks everyone for all the help and goodies provided on the day we all appreciated it! Finally our intermediate girls were out Sunday in force against Ballinacor, unfortunately the girls didn’t win on the day but the effort and work was merely not shown in the result! The final score was Annacurra 1 point Ballinacor 1:3 well done to all!

Bowls Club
Annacurra Bowls Club held their end of season presentation night on Sunday 26th April 2015.
The prize winners were:
Stapleton Cup: Winners: Breda O’Neill and Jack Lynch.
Runners Up: Mary Stapleton and Noel Shannon.
Agnes Doyle Memorial Cup: Won by Nancy Linehan. Runner Up: was Jack Lynch.
Betty Dalton Memorial Cup: Won by Kevin Stapleton. Runner up Mary Stapleton.
On the inter club scene. Ann Darcy Memorial Cup was won by Peadar O’Brien,
who beat Nancy Linehan in the final in Tinahely.
Matt O’Neill Memorial Cup was won by Dorothy Lazenby, Tinahely.
Runner up was John Flood Annacurra.
Harry Boyd Memorial Cup: Annacurra won back the Cup from Tinahely,
after a very tight second leg match in Tinahely.
After the presentations, we once again made our way to The Saltee
where we were wined and dined to the best.
Thanks again to Management and staff of The Saltee for looking after our every need.
Thanks also to our own Noel Shannon for providing the music and for leading us in song.
The committee and members, wish our colleagues who are sick or were
unable to bowl recently good health for the future. Our thoughts are with you all.
Bowls will resume again around the third week of September. New members will be very welcome.

Opening times for Aughrim Library are as follows Tuesday 3-5 Wednesday 3-5 and 6-60 until 8-30 Friday 11-1 and 3-5 Saturday 2-4. Membership free. Photocopying available.
