Baldonnel Singers Headline Evening at Tinakilly Country House to Support Tiglin

Special Guests include Soprano Nora King and Patrick Hyland

A concert in aid of Tiglin Rehab Centre is to take place at Tinakilly Country House Rathnew, Co. Wicklow on Saturday, 23rd of May at 8pm. The gala evening of music and song will be led by the Baldonnel Singers.

With accompanist Anne Cullen Under the musical direction of David Lanigan, the show will feature a programme of Operatic and Showtime Classics. A light refreshment reception is included and all proceeds from the night will go to Tiglin Rehab Centre.

 

​ “This is turning into an annual event for Tiglin. It’s always a great night and monies raised goes towards the running of the centre. On behalf of Tiglin, I’d like to thank everyone who supports this event,” said Phil Thompson, CEO of Tiglin Rehab Centre.

 

Tiglin Rehab Centre based in Ashford, Co. Wicklow, caters for men and women, over the age of 18 who are battling with life-controlling addiction problems. Tiglin currently has capacity for 30 men and 12 women in the centre and their waiting lists continue to grow. A total of ten months is spent at the centre in Wicklow after which, six months is spent in a local re-entry house.

 

Tiglin provides general support to the person not just addressing the substance abuse. A whole new way of living is taught by addressing family relationships, work attitudes, self-image, peer pressure, temptation, community relationships and a variety of other life skills. Tiglin’s residents complete practical modules in horticulture, cookery, crafts and money management skills and take turns managing different parts of the house.
