Road Run
Carnew Heritage Club are holding their annual road run on Sunday 17th May at 12 noon from Carnew Mart, all welcome to come along.Under 12 hurling Division 1A
Carnew 3-7 Kilcoole 1-1
Carnew played some fluent hurling to overcome Kilcoole on Monday evening 27th April in Carnew. A exhibition of hurling at centre back by Daniel Redmond kept Carnew ticking over nicely throughout the game. Thomas Collins, Dan Murphy and Brandon Rossiter gave a good account of themselves. Up front Richard Greene looked lively and along with Shay Guilfoyle and Jack Kavanagh scored 3 goals for Carnew. Brian Kenny also played well. Training every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday evenings at 6 p.m. All players under twelve are welcome.Play
Coláiste Bhríde is delighted to host “The Man in the Woman’s shoes” written and performed by the award winning Mikel Murfi. The play is a solo performance and is just returning from a three week run on Broadway.The play will run for one night only on Wednesday 6th May at 8.30 pm. Tickets costing €12 ( €10 for OAPs and students) are available from the school. Money raised will go to our School Development Fund and your support would be greatly appreciated.
Sympathy
Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Mrs Mary Foley, nee Crowe, Tomacork who died during the week, her remains were removed to Carnew on Thursday for 2pm mass, followed by burial in Tomacork cemetery.To the family and relatives of Janet Wallace, Angels Cottage Coolfancy who died during the week, her remains were removed to Kilavaney on Thursday for 12 noon mass, followed by burial in the adjoining church yard.
To Jack Kelly, Coolgreaney his family and relatives on the death of his wife Kathleen last week, her remains were removed to Arklow on Tuesday evening and burial took place on Wednesday in Castledockeral cemetery.

On Sunday May 10 walk is at Avon Ri Greenway. (Grade C, 13km, 3 hours) meeting in Tinahely Square at 10.00am. Please ensure to wear proper walking boots, to bring adequate food & drink and to pack (or wear) rain gear. (Walk grades: A is the hardest and C is the easiest – depends on gradient and duration.)
