FOOD WARNING: ALWAYS BOIL IMPORTED FROZEN BERRIES
Greystones Municipat District is advising a food warning.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland is telling us that there is an ongoing risk with global imported frozen berries. Always boil frozen berries for at least one minute before they are eaten. This precautionary measure will destroy the virus if it is present.
Fresh berries, as with all other fruit and vegetables, should always be washed thoroughly if they are being eaten uncooked.
