Next Sunday 17th May is the date of the Rathcoyle National School family fun run and walk beginning at 11.00 a.m.
The route will start and finish outside the school which is approximately one mile on the Aughrim side of Rathdangan village near Kiltegan. This event is open to walkers, joggers and runners of all abilities and proceeds from the race will go towards the local national school. The entry fee is €15 per adult and €5 per secondary school student.
€30 will register all members of a family and there will be numerous spot prizes as well as prizes for the first three men and first three ladies across the line. In addition there will be prizes for the first three male and the first three females under eighteen to cross the line. There is free entry to all primary school children regardless of the school which they attend.
Following the race there will be plenty of refreshments for everyone. So if you are taking part in the Ladies’ 10K in June, training for another event, or just want to take part in a relaxed and enjoyable healthy pursuit, while at the same time raising funds for a small country school, come on down to Rathdangan village on Sunday.
