U11 Boys
Well done to all AGB U11 boys who took part in two games last week. The boys had a tough game against a stronger, bigger Eire Og U12’s outfit which tested the lads resolve. AGB put in a good performance but the Greystones team came out on top at the end. Well done to all the AGB squad members who gave 100% and competed to the end. In the second game of the week the boys took on An Tochar. The U11s gave a good, solid, performance and dominated the game from start to finish to come out on top. The whole squad are starting to come together and holding their own in this top division.

U8 and U10 Boys
Well done to the U8 and U10 boys who all played brilliantly in their blitz games in Annacurragh on Saturday the 6th of June. Some fantastic skills on display as well as some great scores.

U14 Div1 Girls
U14 action on the 4th of June saw the Div 1 girls squad travel to Coolafancy to take on Tinahely. In almost a carbon copy of last week’s game the girls found it hard to get going as Tinahely battled and out muscled the girls for most of the first half. The defence were stretched but stood firm as Tinahely tried to take advantage of an out of sorts AGB, but we were able to keep the scoreline moving in the right direction leading by 4 points at halftime. The girls were rocked by this much improved Tinahely squad but were determined to put on a better show in the second period, and they started to get first to the ball, pick out their own players and move the ball quicker. We also saw Emma Cox move from goals to full forward and she showed what she is capable of when she’s in the mood, firing in 4 second half goals. Once again the second half was a real positive for the team , but we need to have that over a full game. As was mentioned on the way home, it’s a sign of a good team that wins when they’re not at their best. Well done girls. Final score: Tinahely 2-5 AGB 6-10. Thanks again to parents for lifts.  This week AGB play away to St. Pat’s on Tuesday the 9th of June at 6.45pm.

U12 Girls
AGB U12 girls had another great win in the Division 1 league on the 4th of June when they played away to St. Pats. Final score: AGB 7-8 St. Pats 2-2. Well done girls!

U10 Girls
Well done to the U10 girls who had 3 wins out of 3 at the blitz on the 6th of June in Roundwood.
