Art Camp and Activity camp
Come join our Two Exciting Camps not to be missed. Venue: Aughrim community hall, Date: July13th-17th,, Age group: 4-12, Time: 9.30-12 (Art Camp) 12-2 (Activity Camp). Art in the morning (Stop Motion Animation, Sugar Craft, Design/Paint your own fairy door & lots more, with art competition on the last day). Activity camp in the afternoon (Introduction to Tae-Kwon-Do, circuit training & lots more. Demonstration & Competition to be held on the last day, with medals & certs. The annual cemetery Masses and blessing of graves will be held as follows:
Upper Macreddin Cemetery, Wednesday July 1st. Lower Macreddin, Thursday July 2nd. Roshane cemetery Friday July 3rd. All Masses are at 8.00.p.m.Community Games
Well done to our U-14 Tag Rugby team who played a great match against St Brigids Newbridge who beat them 16-11. It was a wonderful performance by both sides and for our first year out you did fantastic. Thank you to Barney and all our support from the community of Annacurra GAAand the Parents.
Saturday saw our County Athletic Finals in Shillelagh where the sun shone and the children all ran and competed in field events. It was a great day and we came away with an array of medals. Our first place now go on to Athlone in August to represent Wicklow at the National Festival and they were our U-15 Relay team Cian Byrne Thayer, Sarah Lalor, Aoibhinn Daly O’Brien, Rory Shannon and Katie O’Byrne, U-14 Long Puck is Katie O’Byrne and our U-8 Girl is Ciara Leccardi. Well done to you all. We now have 10 children in total travelling to Athlone on both weekends in August. We had several 2nd, 3rd and 4th places too. So well done to all our children who participated and to the Parents who brought them and to all our volunteers especially our coaches and committee a very big thank you because if we didn’t have you we wouldn’t have Community Games in Aughrim/Annacurra.
Next Monday is our last official training night for our community games athletics with fun night planned so please come along. There will be limited ongoing training for our children going to Athlone but more information will be giving on that. Thank you for a great successfully.

Juvenile GAA
Under 12s footballer’s after a slow start now they have two wins under their belts having claimed victory away to Dunlavin on Monday June 8th, on addition to their earlier win against Carnew hopefully the work being put in at training will continue to pay dividends, it is vital that everyone attends training for the next few weeks as we want to build up our fitness and skill levels before the holiday season starts. There will be
U8s & U10s hurling blitz Friday June 19th in Carnew. Teams attending: Aughrim, Arklow Rocks and Kiltegan. The under 8s had two teams and found there matches very tough but played well. The under 10s had three very tough games, first game against Carnew started very fast and got a good bit in front and stayed that way. Second games against Arklow Rocks they went all guns blazing but we came back with a very good display in the second half and won by a point. Third game against Arklow Rocks B and another very good game by both teams up and down but we had the fitness to pull through and win all players from Aughrim team done very well and we are proud of the display you all put on. Football blitz in Knockananna on Saturday morning at10.10 am June 20th.Lotto
