Under 12 Football Carnew v Avoca

Carnew had 7 points to spare when they overcame a sporting Avoca team in near perfect conditions for a match which was played at home in Carnew on Monday evening 22nd June. Carnew, who had a panel of 21 players, always seemed in charge of this game but never got into any great rhythm while trying to give all the panel some game time. None the less when they came under pressure they were always able to respond with scores like a good score by Sean Kenny in the second half. Roland Chlechowitz had some stylish saves during the game. Overall a solid display by all the Carnew lads meant another win in this division. The U12 team and mentors would like to congratulate the U14 team who did Carnew proud in the Feile competition in Cavan over the weekend. Coming home with a win was a great achievement. Well done lads!
