Football U12s
Carnew 10-4 Ballymanus 3-4Carnew ran out easy winners over Ballymanus in Carnew on Friday June 5th. The game was somewhat spoiled by a strong wind and never got into any great rhythm from either side.
Carnew, who had a panel of 22 players struggled to afford all players time on the field but did manage to do so in the end. On form for Carnew were Callum Paterson, Cathal Rooney, Thomas Collins, Ben Gilligan, Richard Greene, Shane Byrne and Billy Molloy who was effective at full forward.
Overall Carnew did enough to win this game but will need to improve our efforts to be in contention for the finals.
Training every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6.30 pm to 7.45 pm. All players who wish to be in contention for their place on the team must attend training.
