The 3rd annual Taste of Wicklow – a showcase of all that is best in food produce in Co. Wicklow will take place on Sunday 28th June in Wicklow Town.
Last year over 7,000 attended the event in brilliant sunshine in the stunning Abbey Grounds and will have taken away wonderful memories of the best that Wicklow Town has to offer.
A major added attraction of this year’s event will be the attendance of celebrity TV Chef Nevin Maguire along with Paul Kelly and Rory Morahan. Local Chefs Paul Smith from The Mystic Celt and Alan Hegarty from the Fishman will also be cooking up a storm for many of their local fans.
The event has now established itself as one of the premier food events in Leinster and the attendance of Nevin Maguire is a testament to the growing reputation of the Taste of Wicklow.
This year the local second level schools will also be participating in a cook off under the guidance of the expert Chefs and many of their fellow pupils will be sure to enjoy the ensuing feast and spectacle.
This year’s Taste of Wicklow will be a fusion of local food, artisan markets, pop up restaurants and a craft village. It is truly a culinary celebration of Wicklow paying tribute to the best produce from the finest food producers plated and served by many of our friendly and talented restaurant teams.
There is fun for all the family with walkabout performers, oversized games for children, face painting, storytelling and even a traditional circus show. All of the entertainment provided within the grounds is completely free of charge.
The Taste of Wicklow event is entirely funded from local resources together with the €5 entrance per person charged on the day. Children under 12 have free admission.
It is truly fantastic value and a great day out for all the family. Tickets are available from many local retail outlets in Wicklow Town.
