A man has died following a single vehicle accident at Kilmullin lane, Newtown.
The man aged 58 was traveling alone and struck a ditch just before 8am on Monday morning.
He was treated at the scene but passed away and was taken to Loughlinstown hospital.
The road was closed for Gardai to carry out a forensic examination but has since reopened.
