Cottage Garden
A great crowd turned out for the opening of the Cottage Garden in Logatryna in aid of Church Funds. The raffle winners were Bridget Birchall, Sadie Doyle, Ashling Mackey, Catherine O’ Reilly, Helen Daynes, Ann Harney, (Irishtown, Donard), John O’ Reilly, BerNie Kelly(Crehelp), Michael Delmer, Dermot & Ann Wheatley, Patricia Walsh, (Dublin) , Martin O’Brien, and Mary Roche. Thanks to all who all who supported this great occasion.

Dunlavin Inn Golf Society
The winners of the outing to Mcreddin were 1st Christy Bracken, 2nd Anthony Deering, Front 9 Andrew Dunne, B 9 David Corrigan. Next outing Mt Juliet on Sunday August 2nd Captain’s Day.

Musical Treat
Dinner with the Phantom of the Opera in Rathsallagh House on Wednesday July 22nd at 7.30pm. Three course dinner plus concert €55. Bookings at 045/403112, promises to be a great night.

Sympathy is extended to the family of Eugene (Dougie) McGonagle (Tober) who died last week following an illness. Eugene is mourned by his wife Teresa, sons Mark and Eoin and many relatives and friends. Eugene’s funeral took place in Hollywood on Saturday July 4th 2015.May he rest in peace.

Graveyard Mass
This year the annual cemetery Mass and blessing of the graves will take place on Sunday August 23rd at 7pm. Please spread the word to families who have moved away from the area.

Wicklow Library Service Launches Children’s Summer Reading Adventure
The school summer holidays are almost upon us and Dunlavin Library has announced plans for its annual summer reading programme. The Summer Reading Adventure kicks off on 23nd June and continues until 22nd August. During this time, children are encouraged to read six or more books of their choice and every participant will be awarded a certificate at the end.

Children can register for the programme at the library where they will receive a Summer Reading Card to record their reading progress and a free book bag to hold all those great books they plan to read.

The Summer Reading Programmes have always been hugely popular with junior members of Wicklow libraries and are very effective at keeping children engaged with reading during the summer holidays.

This fun programme is open to all children and is completely free. Further information is available athttp://www.librarieslireland.ie/summer-reading-adventure . To register for this event and to find out what’s happening this summer, drop into the library and ask a librarian!
