A man has died after falling from a horse-drawn cart close to Kilmacanogue yesterday evening.

A man in his 40’s has died following a fall from a horse-drawn cart at Red lane close to Kilmacanogue on Wednesday evening.

The accident happened at around 8.15pm.

The 44 year old man was rushed to St.Vincent’s hospital but died from his injuries.

It is understood the man is from the local area.

Gardaí are appealing for witnessess or anyone who was travelling on Red Lane, Calary – which is the road from Sugarloaf car park towards the N11 – yesterday evening to contact them at Bray Garda Station on 01 – 6665300.

The road has been closed to allow a garda technical examination.
