Community Games
Our community games athletics will hopefully begin on Monday 28th September. We have a great group of children and would love more adults and young TY students to join in and volunteer. We are keen to kick off the athletics season at the end of Sept, but at this moment we do not have enough volunteers to support the number of juvenile and adult members. We are a thriving club with the highest ever membership but if we cannot recruit new volunteers for Monday night training we must look at other alternatives, such as, reducing the length of the season or limiting the numbers that can attend training. We would love to see some people coming forward, or even some TY students (for An Gaisce award). Formal training will be provided by Athletics Ire and volunteers will be paired with experienced coaches. We will hold a parents & adult members meeting in the Sports Complex on Mon 21st Sept at 7 to discuss and hopefully resolve the volunteer/coaching crisis.
