Milk Round
Dunlavin Dairies have started a milk round in Donard. The milk is produced by their herd of Friesian Cross Shorthorn Cows using no artificial fertilisers or chemicals. Whole or semi skimmed milk can be delivered to your doorstep on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings. Telephone Arthur on 0872701675 .

Dunlavin Inn Golf Society

D.I.G.S. next outing will take place on Saturday October 17th to Bunclody Golf Club. Tee time 1pm to 1.30pm. The committee would like to thank Whittle Sourcing for their sponsorship on the day.

Sympathy is extended to the family of Mary Keogh, Usk who passed away last week. Mary who was pre-deceased by her husband Jim is mourned by her daughters Mary and Bridie, son Jim, grandchildren Elaine, Dawn, Laura, Jim, Rachael and Brian and many relatives and friends. Mary’s funeral took place in Gormanstown on Saturday September 26th 2015. May Mary rest in peace.

Badminton – Will has restart on Thursday nights in the Imaal Hall at 8.30pm. New and old members welcome.

Sympathy is extended to Ted Naughton and family on the death of Ted’s son David. David who was predeceased by his mother Dot is mourned by his dad Ted, wife Tania, daughters Emma, Lucy and Sophie, son Sean, brother Mark, Sister Lorraine, father-in-law Tony, and many relatives and friends. David’s burial took place in Dunlavin Cemetery on Thursday September 17th 2015. May David rest in peace.
Music Generation Wicklow – provides low cost music tuition to children & young people, aged 7 -18 throughout the county. Registration for Dunlavin Strings – Violin Program will take place on Thursday 1st October from 3 – 4pm in Scoil Nioclais Noafa. The funeral service of Winston Honner
took place in St Nicolas Church of Ireland , Dunlavin on Monday September 14th 2015 . Winston who was a native of Oldcourt, Dunlavin was predeceased by his daughter Deborah and is mourned by his wife Ena, daughter Sarah, .son Robert, son -in -law Simon, Robert’s partner Ciara. Brother Kenneth and sister Patricia. May Winston rest in peace.
Weighing – In
On the 12th November Rathsallagh House have their next Theatre Dining Night with a show called “Weighing In “. This is a fast paced comedy play about life, love and dieting. It is set in the Easi-Slim diet club where we will meet the highly driven Pam (Isobel Mahon – Glenroe, The Clinic) and the motherly Breda (Rose Henderson – Fair City , Father Ted ). Both attend the weekly clinic for the weigh-in and strike up an unlikely friendship. Telephone Rathsallagh House for bookings 045 403112. If previous theatre nights in Rathsallagh House are anything to go by this should be a cracker.

The Friendship Group – have started back on Fridays from 3.00pm to 5.00pm in the Parish Centre. New members welcome. There will be light exercises from 2.30pm. Anyone interested in the Community Alert panic button can find out more details at the Friendship Group on Fridays.

The Dunlavin & District Forum Christmas lights sub- committee have begun fundraising to upgrade the present Christmas Lights System. A three year project has been put in place to upgrade and maintain the lights already in place. Please look out for the collection boxes in the local businesses. You will also be supporting the Senior Citizens Christmas Party. Your support is very much appreciated
