Congratulations to Club member Pat Bracken on his appointment as part of the Wicklow Senior Hurling Management Team.  Pat was an accomplished hurler and was part of an Aughrim Feile Team  that won out the County Feile and were narrowly beaten in An All Ireland Final.  Over the past few years Pat was a key member of Aughrim Intermediate Management Team culminating in winning the Intermediate Football championship in 2014.  We wish Pat well in his new role. All Club members are reminded that our A.G.M. is fixed for 5th December 5th at 8.45p.m. in The Sports Complex.  All nomination and Motion papers are to be returned to Club Secretary Denis Managan on or before this Friday November 27th. The sympathy of the Club is extended to The Doyle family Ballymorris on the recent bereavement  of John (Jack) Doyle R.I.P.

Juvenile Club

The Aughrim Juvenile Club had a great presentation evening in the sports complex recently. Kids from U6 to U10 received Go Games medals while the U12 hurlers received trophies for winning the U12 Div 2 league. The Aughrim players on the very successful Luke O’ Toole’s U14 All-Ireland winning team were also honoured. A big thank you to Pete Carroll, Rory Connolly, Alan Kinsella and Sean O Shea for setting up the hall and to John Gunning who did an excellent job as MC.  The long anticipated presentation to the All- Ireland winning Luke O’ Toole’s U14 Hurling team will take place on Friday  November 27th at 7.00 in the Tinahely Community Hall.  Guest of honour is Tommy Walsh a Kilkenny Great, winner of numerous All-Irelands, All-Stars and Player of the year. All Parents, Family, Club members and Friends are invited to attend for what will be an historic occasion.  The Juvenile Club has Christmas raffle tickets on sale around the town at present and we are asking for everyone’s support to make it a successful fundraiser. There are some fantastic prizes on offer and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who gave so generously in sponsoring prizes.
