“A Christmas Carol with Annacurra N.S.”

Annacurra National School have just recorded and produced a CD Single entitled “A Christmas Carol with Annacurra N.S.” following the success of their recent annual Carol Service, which showcases the wonderful talents of its students. The CD features Miss Mc Lean’s choir, consisting of the boys and girls from the Senior Classes in the school where they recorded “O Holy Night” with the wonderfully talented  tenor, Michael Flood, together with another two bonus tracks from Michael.

This recording took place live in St. Bridget’s Parish Church, Annacurra in the last couple of days and  all the children of the school are hoping to score a number one hit locally with their latest venture. Currently on sale, the CD Single is priced at €5.00 and available locally from Pam Murphy 0877985776 or 0402 36577 or from Londis, Aughrim. Music and song play a very important part in the lives of children attending the school where they get great encouragement from all their teachers and school Principal Eva Ryan.

Mass goers will get the opportunity to hear them sing this wonderful hymn with Michael and more at Mass on Christmas Eve in St. Bridget’s Parish Church, Annacurra at 7.30pm. The CD will be available after masses also on Christmas Day and on St. Stephen’s Day. This would make an excellent Christmas present for young and old alike.  Proceeds of this CD Single are in aid of Annacurra N.S. and a local charity which they have yet to decide depending on sales. So please support this wonderful venture, which is a first for the school.

A big thank you to all the children who took part in the recording, Eugene Whelan, East Coast Video Productions for all his hard work bringing this project to life in a very short space of time and to the team at Community Events.ie for their help and support.
