Avoca senior citizens the Avoca senior citizens committee wish to extend their thanks to Myles Doyle and staff at the avoca recycling centre for all their help in raising funds for this worthy cause, and to the shops who support us with their donation buckets. We would like to remind everyone that donation buckets can be found at: Avoca and Rathdrum credit unions, Avoca post office, Avoca chemist, Hendleys shop and cafe, Kellys bar, the meetings bar and lounge, Flemings shop, Rathdrum, leo’s bar, Conary, Delaneys shop, Woodenbridge. Every cent counts, so please remember our buckets after you’ve chosen a book at Avoca recycling centre, or if you visit any of the above premises. Many thanks to you all for your continued support of the Avoca senior citizens.
AVOCA SENIOR CITIZEN
The Avoca Senior Citizens committee wish to extend their thanks to Myles Doyle and staff at the Avoca Recycling Centre for presenting them with a donation for the Avoca Senior Citizens fund, collected from their recycled clothing campaign. Myles has also provided some Clothes re-cycling bags which can be filled with all clothes that are no longer wanted, and returned to the Avoca Recycling Centre. If you would like to make use of one of these bags please contact Hazel Killeen at 0402 33891. Or failing this, you could pick one up at the centre next time you call in.

Avoca national school an open coffee morning will be held in avoca national school on Friday 11th December from 9:30 am to 10:45 am. An invitation is extended to all the parents of the children currently attending the school. All prospective parents are invited also. This will be an opportunity to meet other parents and to view some of the childrens activities. All are welcome and admission is free.the school is currently accepting enrolment for the next school year. enrolment forms are available from the school office and should be returned by 22nd December where possible.

Ballycoog 45 card night
On Friday 18th December, a 45 card night will be held in the Community Hall starting at 8.30pm sharp! €10 to play with good prize money and all proceeds including the raffle will go towards the bi-centenary celebrations for St. Kevin’s church. Ballycoog Macra are hosting the night and will provide their usual Christmas treats and refreshments so come along for an enjoyable night and all for a great cause!
