Gardai make appeal after Carrickmines hit and run

Gardai are appealing to the public for information following a hit-and-run in Carrickmines last Monday week the 23rd of November.

A 16-year-old girl was left hospitalised with serious injuries including a fractured pelvis after she was stuck by a jeep at 10pm on the Glenamuck Road North, Carrickmines.

A silver or grey 04 LH registration Jeep,  came down the hill and struck the 16-year-old girl who was crossing the road.

The driver who has a brightly coloured neck tattoo stopped and got out of the vehicle briefly and spoke to the girl before getting back in and driving off towards Cornelscourt.
