Carnew Emmets Juvenile AGM
Carnew Juvenile AGM was held on Wednesday 6th Jan in Scoil Aodan Naofa at 8pm. A good attendance was present to hear out-going secretary Eddie Brennan deliver his annual report. Quite a successful year when you list down through the different age categories. Success at minor age and U16 level, U14 won the shield at the Feile competition, the U12 boys won both hurling and football in their section, U10 won several matches in the blitzes and Go-games competitions. U8 had great attendances during the year and have some promising players for the future as do the U6 age group.
One of the topics on the agenda was fundraising where membership and the sale of Lotto tickets is a key element. Another request was that the PROs for each age group keep our club PRO Suzanne O’Sullivan informed of the weekly activities of all the groups.
Chairman Maurice Molloy addressed the meeting with a look back at the year that was and said that he was happy to continue in that position for another year. Maurice Sheil replaces Eddie Brennan as secretary because Eddie Brennan has moved to the role of treasurer to the senior club committee where he is wished all success.
Sincere thanks was expressed to all the trainers and mentors and to those parents who supported the club during 2015. We look forward to seeing you all again in the future season which is about to kick off.
