Colaiste Bhride TY Drama Night
Colaiste Bhride will host an evening of drama in St. Brigid’s Hall on 28th January at 8pm.
Transition Year students will present three separate dramas which they have been working on since last September. Come along to what promises to be a great evening.

Annual Model Exhibition
The ever popular Colaiste Bhride Annual Model Exhibition will take place in the school on Sunday 7th February from 11am to 5pm. A wide variety of displays and side shows is guaranteed again this year making it an event to suit all the family. We look forward to seeing you on the day.

Tinahely Walking Club
On Sunday Jan 24 the walk will be from Moyne to Tinahely, part of the Wicklow Way. (Grade B, 12-14km, 3 hours) meeting in Tinahely at 10.30.

On Sunday Jan 31 the walk will be at Mullins Hill, (Grade B, 12km, 3 hours) meeting in Tinahely at 10.30.
Please ensure to wear proper walking boots, to bring adequate food & drink and to pack (or wear) rain gear.

Ballyellis National School Enrolment Forms
Enrolment forms are now available for anyone wishing to enrol their child in Ballyellis National School in September 2016. Please phone the school on 0539426159 or call into the office to collect enrolment form.

SYMPATHY
Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Mervyn Gordon, Gorey Road, Carnew who died during the week, his remains were removed to Carnew on Thursday for 12.30 mass and burial took place in Tomacork cemetery.

MODEL EXHIBITION
The annual Model Exhibition will take place on Sunday 7th February from 11 am – 5pm, with models of tractors, cars, farms, railways, dolls houses and much more, with a cake stall, tombola stall and raffles on the day, admission adults €5 children free, your support would be greatly appreciated, proceeds towards Carnew First Responders and the Parents Association.

SCOIL AODAN NAOFA
Split the pot
This week’s winner of Carnew National School’s Split the Pot draw was Emma Whelan, Chapel Lane, Shillelagh. Winning prize was €362.50, next draw will take place on Friday 22nd January and every Friday during school term. Thanks for your support. Tickets available from the school or local businesses.

ENROLMENT
Scoil Aodan Naofa Carnew is now accepting applications for enrolment to it’s junior Infant class for the school year 2016/17. Forms are available from the school office at 0539426315. Scoil Aodan Naofa is a Catholic School under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Ferns.

CRAFT CLASSES
The craft classes resume on Wednesday 20th January from 7 – 9pm in the VEC room on the Main Street, beside Pauline O’Toole Solicitors, if you would like to learn a craft or just want to come along and do some sewing, knitting, crochet and have a chat, for more details contact Eileen 0862584616.

WALKING
The walking club met every Thursday night at 7.30pm at Carnew Training and Development Centre, please come along, new members welcome.

There is a bingo on Sunday 24th January at 3pm in St Brigid’s Hall, Carnew in aid of Will and Mary’s Strictly Come Dancing, all welcome.

RACE NIGHT
There is a Race night on Saturday 23rd January at 9pm in Kenny’s Lounge, horses now on sale at €10, come along for a great nights entertainment.

SYMPATHY
Sincere sympathy is extended to Joan Stone, Gorey Road, her family and relatives on the death of her mother Rita Foley, Killanure, Bunclody, her remains were removed to Kilmyshall on Monday evening and burial took place on Tuesday morning.

TABLE QUIZ
There is a table quiz on this Friday 22nd January at 8.30pm in Kenny’s Corner House, €30 per team, all welcome to come along, in aid of Tomas and Ashling Strictly Come Dancing fund.

DARTS TOURNAMENT
There is a darts tournament on Sunday 24th January at 3pm in Kenny’s Corner House in aid of Niamh and Martin’s Strictly Come Dancing, all welcome.

BINGO
The next monthly bingo in aid of the hall renovations is on Sunday 14th February at 2.30pm, thanks to everyone for their support to date.
