TINAHELY WALKING CLUB
On Sunday Jan 31 the walk will be at Mullins Hill, (Grade B, 12km, 3 hours) meeting in Tinahely at 10.30.
On Sunday Feb 7 the walk will be at Croghanmoira,, (Grade B, 12km, 3 hours) meeting in Tinahely at 10.30.
Please ensure to wear proper walking boots, to bring adequate food & drink and to pack (or wear) rain gear.
Presentation Night for Rackard League Football Medals Boys/Girls
The presentation night for the boys and girls Rackard League Football medals will be on Friday 12th February 2016 @ 8pm in Askamore Hall. Special guests on the night will be the 1966/67 team and their trainers who are the only other school team to win a Rackard League County Football final. All welcome to attend.
GAA LOTTO
The GAA lotto was not won, numbers were 6,10,19, 25, lucky dips were Sean Keogh, Mountain View. Aine Kelly, Monasootha. Conal McCrea, c/o Willie Collins. Jody Byrne, c/o Snowy. The next draw is 1st February in Jim Byrnes and the jackpot is €3,600.

DISCO
An 80’s disco will be held on this Saturday 30th January in McCrea’s with prize for the best dressed, admission only €5, the draw for the 2 ruby tickets and the load of sticks, etc will also take place on the night. All welcome to come along.

Colaiste Bhride TY Drama Night
Colaiste Bhride will host an evening of drama in St. Brigid’s Hall on 28th January at 8pm.
Transition Year students will present three separate dramas which they have been working on since last September. Come along to what promises to be a great evening.Annual Model Exhibition
The ever popular Colaiste Bhride Annual Model Exhibition will take place in the school on Sunday 7th February from 11am to 5pm. MODEL EXHIBITION
The annual Model Exhibition will take place on Sunday 7th February from 11 am – 5pm, with models of tractors, cars, farms, railways, dolls houses and much more, with a cake stall, tombola stall and raffles on the day, admission adults €5 children free, your support would be greatly appreciated, proceeds towards Carnew First Responders and the Parents Association. If anyone would like to make cakes or donate items for the tombola or raffle, it would be very much appreciated.
ENROLMENT
Scoil Aodan Naofa Carnew is now accepting applications for enrolment to it’s junior Infant class for the school year 2016/17. Forms are available from the school office at 0539426315. Scoil Aodan Naofa is a Catholic School under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Ferns.
CRAFT CLASSES
The craft classes resumed on Wednesday 20th January from 7 – 9pm in the VEC room on the Main Street, beside Pauline O’Toole Solicitors, if you would like to learn a craft or just want to come along and do some sewing, knitting, crochet and have a chat, for more details contact Eileen 0862584616.
